Barons Court is a station on the Piccadilly and District lines of the London Underground in England. Barons Court is in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is in Travelcard Zone 2. It is the first station coming out of London (travelling West) on the Piccadilly line which is not under ground. Hence it is the station of choice for changes between the District Line for those travelling to or from London's Heathrow Airport, along with Hammersmith .

The station was part of an expansion Westward of the underground system into what had previously been largely undeveloped land. A name for the area had to be invented and it has been suggested that "Barons Court" was inspired by both by Earl's Court, two stations to the East, and by the area's association with the Margrave and Margravine of Brandenburg, Anspach and Bayreuth (margrave being a minor order of German chivalry, on a par with a baron). In the early part of the century the Margrave had owned Brandenburg House in nearby Hammersmith (now one station to the West) and through his wife, the Margravine - an Englishwoman and the former Lady Craven - he also owned Craven Cottage, now the home of Fulham Football Club, a mile to the South. The road which adjoins the Barons Court station is called Margravine Gardens.

Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College's Hammersmith branch is across Talgarth Road. (turn left out of the station). The Queen's Club, location of the Stella Artois Championships tennis championship, is at the end of Palliser Road. (turn right out of the station). The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, (LAMDA), is on the Talgarth Road. (Turn left then left out of the station)
